My 2nd Kpop Concert: #BBMADEINMANILA

I am sure that every Kpop fan who’s currently reading this knows BIGBANG. Who wouldn’t? Maaan, they’re one of the best groups out there! Anyway, I’ve been lucky enough to be able to watch them perform live…from afar.

First, let me just share to you the happenings before spilling my BIGBANG concert experience.

Alright, so a month prior to the announcement of BIGBANG’s concert ticket prices, I told myself that I won’t go but it also occurred to me that, “What if it would take too long for them to come back since they might enlist in the army anytime soon?” I am a fan of their music since “Tonight” and I love them. However, I am not that of a super fan.  And I have to continue saving up just in case my fave comes back here so, NO. Sadly, I ate what I said when I heard the songs from the MADE series. So yes, I decided to buy the cheapest ticket.

May 30, 2015. It was the day where VIPs participated in The Hunger Games. Yep, because tickets for BIGBANG [MADE] in Manila were already available on SM Ticket outlets and at The Fort, BGC. My friends and I decided to get ours at The Fort because of the perks that come with it. We got to purchase our tickets and choose our seats first plus we were given free posters. Though, we weren’t the luckiest that day. We arrived just in time and the queue was already long and bruh, the heat is legit. Good thing I was with my friends and
BIGBANG’s songs were playing in the background so I didn’t get bored. But guess what? We commuted, waited in line for almost 5 hours, skipped lunch and endured the hot weather just to get a hold of that precious BB ticket (so glad we got first row seats). To myself, I was like, “Really, Fritzie? You did all of these and they’re not even your ultimate bias group.” Yeah, I didn’t experience this on last year’s BTS TRB Concert. I have no regrets though. Definitely, it was tiring and kinda annoying nevertheless, I am happy to be able to get involved with this kind of experience. I felt like I became a certified fan girl that day.

July 30, 2015. D-Day! We were outside MOA Arena as early as 11am. We actually planned to be there early.  We didn’t wanna get caught in traffic because of the “Metro Manila Earthquake Drill”. Since we arrived early, we got these freebies from such generous fans. (I didn’t get any @ TRB. I was kinda late. I learned my lesson.)
The most unforgettable out of all those freebies was the TOP fan! I had to squeeze through a crowd and fight for it. I fortunately got it! I also love that mini DARAGON and GD tarp.

The fans screamed whenever a vehicle stops at the Pacific Drive area assuming the members would come out. But naaah. I’m hoping to see Dara though. At 6pm, VIP VIPs (lol) were sent off first. When we entered, I couldn’t hide my excitement! I’ve seen the stage and I felt satisfied that “Gen Ad” isn’t that far. I mean yes, I couldn’t see their faces from that distance but I was expecting a farther view. All thanks to the extended stage. While waiting, BIGBANG’s music videos were being shown. VIPs just sang to it and screamed once in a while. Here's a video of PH VIPs singing to Bang Bang Bang while waiting.

The opening performance was “Bang Bang Bang”. I felt like crying as I was watching them perform. It was surreal. Everything was fantastic and cooool! There goes the stage—bruh it’s moving—the lighting and of course the quintuple and their performances.

The members had their solo stages. During the ments, they spoke pure English and some Tagalog words. These are the most memorable for me:

“I love you from the bottom of my heart…Philippine (he pronounced it as Filifin)”
–Taeyang

“I love Philippine ladies. Cute niyo po (meaning ‘you are cute’)"–Seungri

“I want to buy a house and live here.” (not the exact words but smthn like that)–Seungri

“Pogi pogi” (meaning handsome) –Seungri

“Pabebe” (someone who acts/speaks like a baby, someone tryna be cute) –Seungri

“Nakikita nyo ba ako?” (can you see me?) –Daesung

“Gusto mo ba?” (you like?) —TOP

I didn’t hear it but they said TOP blurted out Singapore instead of Philippines.

GD talked about the Made E series then fans started shouting, “Sample! Sample!” He looked like a lost kid since he didn’t understand. Once enlightened, he granted us our wish. He showed us a part of it. I’m so happy!

Some more things I noticed…

*Daesung’s dance! My goodness the camera was focused on somewhere…All thanks to Seungri!
*Seungri greeted Dara! Dara appeared on the screen with Vice Ganda
*Seungri held the ACETORY banner
*Daragon shippers everywhere! I love you all.

Bae Bae” and “Bang Bang Bang” were performed for their encore. I had so much fun. Everything’s worth it! I do not know what to say anymore but it was a legit concert party! We jumped, shrieked, cried, danced and sang along. “BIGBANG ended the show with a BIG BANG!

“Tonight, such a beautiful night.”—A line from BIGBANG’s “Tonight”. It was without a doubt a beautiful night.
