#GOT7INPH2015: More than "Just Right"
Note: I originally wrote this article for our COM109, Shuffle Magazine. It would be nice to share it here tho.
GOT7
It's been more than a year since the multi-national boy
group under JYP Entertainment entered the Kpop scene. The group consists of
seven young lads namely JB, Mark, JR, Jackson, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom. Started
from hiphop-ish to cutesy concept, the boys ventured to sexy concept in their
latest comeback this 2015. As newbies, GOT7 nabbed rookie awards in various
Korean Music Awards. While recently, their track "If You Do" ranked
first on SBS MTV The Show marking their first-ever music show win.
Although still a bit fresh in the industry, GOT7 already held
several fan meetings in different countries for the past year. This time, their
next stop is the Philippines!

IGOT7's (GOT7 Official fan club name) wish fulfilled! Held
at Smart Araneta Coliseum last November 14, the boys of GOT7 finally came back
to meet their Filipino fans. Their return brought back memories from the 6th
Philippine Kpop Convention last 2014 leaving IGOT7s more keyed up for the show.
Their fans were in seventh heaven as they witnessed the boys
come out on stage, kickin off the show with their hit song "Stop Stop
It" followed by their debut title track, "Girls Girls Girls". Fans
jammed as they waved their glow bracelets .
Screams were loud as the emcee, Sam Oh introduced each
member. Jackson shared that his favorite
Filipino food are dried mangoes while Bambam chose peanut soup (Kare-Kare).
GOT7 said they're glad to be back to
meet their Filipino fans and have fun. Apart from performances, games were
prepared too!
Some lucky fans were invited on stage to play what they
call, Musical Chairs—commonly known
as Trip to Jerusalem—with the members. The crowd goes crazy,
whenever GOT7 members give fan service to the girls during the game. After that,
they performed their recent songs "Just Right" and "If You
Do".
Loads of fan service were given as they continue to play
games with IGOT7s. Telepathy game was
next. Each member paired up with a fan stood back-to-back and lifted one of the
two flags that would match the color of their other pair. Jackson's and
Yugyeom's team matched their flags well with their respective partners! Though,
the game was stopped when Jackson called out, “I think, we should stop playing this game! It’s not
telepathy game.”

GOT7 were like
balls of energy as they shook and groove during the last game, the Pedometer game. Each member were paired
up with a fan once again and together they will move to heap up the highest
number of steps. Jackson scored the least due to his broken pedometer.
Meanwhile, the highest combined steps was JR's team!
Playing games
with GOT7 gave the fans a special chance to have fun with the seven members and experience their cringe-worthy fan service
as the members hugged and intermingle with them.
Before pushing
through the next segment, Bambam—the group's fan service king—suprised the
fans as he sang a Filipino song "Ngiti" by Ronnie Liang. His effort
to sing a Tagalog was much appreciated by IGOT7s who sang along with him.
In exchange,
Filipino IGOT7s also surprised the members as they showed the tribute video
prepared for the members. "Iiyak na yan!" The fans said to Bambam who
promised he's not going to cry. Leader JB, thanked the fans for the love and
support.
The next segment
left the fans shrieking as GOT7 answered the requests and questions on the fan
board. Mark was asked to say, "Mahal namin kayo" to which he granted
thoughtfully.
What's your ideal girl?
When is your next drama?
JB: No concrete plans yet
The other members
were requested to dance. Junior did a sexy dance. Bambam danced to Twice's
"Like Ooh-Ahh". Yugyeom danced like a machine and to his surprise, a cake was delivered on stage and the crowd
started singing "Happy Birthday" for him. Yugyeom sincerely thanked
everyone. Fans screamed, "Youngjae! Youngjae!" for he wasn't able to
pick from the fan board. He then danced to Jackson's beat box wrapping up the final
segment.
IGOT7s hearts
sank as the boys revealed there will be three last songs before the show ends.
Singing "Playground" made
their fans emotional. While they came back to their lively selves as they
performed "Magnetic". IGOT7s were jumping while jamming to "Bounce"—the
last song for the night.
"We want
more!" the fans insisted. GOT7 return on stage to end the show with their
song "A". It was such a night to remember for every IGOT7s. Hearing the boys said, "See you
next year!" the fans are hoping for a full concert when they come back.
